Retail: Big Data Is The New Black
The fashion industry might have given us the phrase “the new black,” but every company today wants to know that the new black is. For Eldorado, Russia’s largest retailer of consumer electronics and home appliances, the new black is Big Data.
That’s according to Fabricio Granja, Eldorado’s deputy vice president of IT, whom I spoke with at the National Retail Federation’s 2014 Convention and Expo, held January 12 – 15 in New York. But Granja put it a little differently.
