Executive Viewpoint: BPM is Lost in Translation.
Executives have very little time to focus in on any one topic as they have to time slice their decision and direction times. This puts the onus on the back of the business process roles to make sure executives understand the linkage between their desired outcomes and processes (BPM).
It is not natural for executives to understand that processes are the vehicle for translating business models, decisions and directions into results. It is even more amazing if they knew what BPM was on any given day. CIOs don’t help much because they talk applications all the time. This means we have to translate what is BPM is and can do for them in terms they really identify with going forward.
