Can we implement SAP Fiori? New RDS gives answers
SAP has released the latest version of the Fiori Rapid Deployment Solution (V6) which can be downloaded by SAP customers from the SAP service marketplace.
The documentation is comprehensive and provides information on a lot of the relevant implementation tasks. The gem in the package is the requirements matrix and prerequisites check.
This includes a set of questions based on the types of applications you are considering to implement:
As an example if you are considering implementing the “Approve Purchase Orders” Fiori application – it runs you through a checklist and set of questions through which you can evaluate whether your configuration would support it as standard, these are both technical, functional and security related.
In the Purchase Order approval scenario, questions such as:
- Do you have any custom logic to determine which POs users can see?
- Are you using Non-standard item types when creating POs in ECC?
- Is the ERP UI Add-on installed?
- Are you using the following standard follow-up documents in backend: Stock Transfer, Subcontracting order, Down Payments?
are asked and provides relevant comments for customers to consider before implementing the solutions.
